Old Partner

She walks high and tall, strolling right past her quondam. Never the slightest regard that he ever existed in her life. The bachelors flock to her, holding her attention, for only a fraction. More drinks than her frame can withhold. Necks break as she heads towards the exit, with a wink, and she’s gone.

Left, Right hook

Out of breath and unable to stand. Pressure and anxiety are finally getting to you.

Working through everything and it continues to get the best of you. Shakes side to side, near impossible to catch him making a mistake.

Bide your time, stalk like a predator, hold the left for the opening. Don’t wait for permission, he does what he wants without.

Down for the count and gasping for air. This a critical moment, stand or quit, this is a critical moment.

Land Mines

Watch your step. Never know who or what is waiting. Nasty little shits will take your feet right off.

They have no remorse. Left by preadolescence and they lay and hunt. Hidden in furs and corners waiting to claim a worthy prize. You know Ole Kirk is getting a real laugh about this up above, a cruel jape indeed.

Third Chances

They were young. One foolish and the other unable to commit. Disaster is behind every door just waiting for the bell to ring. Ding.

Still young, yet, developing, maturing into something new. The other still the same face with a new poision. She’ll ruin you kid. Your supposed to suck the posion out. Kid? Kid!

Maturity sure is a swift kick in the ass. Colder, stronger, and lost the sweet edge that made the other come around in the first time. Ready, commitment doesn’t seem that scary anymore now that your a team of two. It works now. Immune to the poison and burning down the doors before they reveal. Braver and open to something new, something strong, something they can create together and be proud of. The future is now.

Recess

They play, they fall, they cry, they play. Endless chain of the young. Checkers of life just wanting to be kinged. Not realizing jumping          here will start the waterfall, only the king matters. Wisdom from the board flutters away with wings into the subconscious. Nothing matters but being a king. I am a       King

Moon Man

They can’t spy me from down there. Eyesight is twenty twenty. Squint and you can catch a glimpse. The shooting star of your dreams. They are your dreams.

Moon is made of cheese. Lies we use to tell ourselves. Space cheese would have been an excellent pallet. I’ll settle for this. The mediocre Earth cheese.

The patience to be great. Mediocrity won’t get you far. Maybe to the nice house down the street. Yet never to the stars. Where the greats rest their eyes.

Change

Cheeks bronze like a penny. Flushed through chills and foundation. The cold air chases away the pain.

Lucky like a nickel. Nobody can make me feel the way you do. Must be the luckiest one on earth.

The air is thin like a dime. Slicing through creases bringing the chill with her. Chasing slowly away.

Hard to miss like a quarter. Needed and unable to avoid. One day you’ll be spent and gone far away.

Runs the worlds like a dollar. The rotation stills when your gone. Than spins out of control when you return.

Minimoon

Waiting is so much harder when what you are waiting for is amazing. Days drag and time slows. This is still wonderful but to be with you in euphoria is all I can think about. Let time haste swiftly. Let your sweetness discharge in my fingertips. Break these shackles of this temporary comfort and guide me too love’s kingdom

Strength

We all have it, yet, unique to all.

For some it’s faith. From Jesus himself. The lord blesses us each day with a new one.

For some it’s there family. To provide. To bring fortune and good will. Struggle so they don’t have to.

Passion. Drive and love in a craft is precious and rewarding. Work towards a goal for completion and satisfaction.

& for me personally it’s the dream. The dream of passion. The dream of faith. The dream of family. The dream of love.
