Lock

Felix knows the hiding place.

Felix hid it himself

Swallowed it whole

Picture on the wall

Twelve inch steak.

Felix bleeds

He bleeds himself

For the key

Erupting

Fiction and Truth.

Felix doesn’t know where the lock is

Or if it exist.

Felix holds the key to nothing.

Sander

He said it once,

We didn’t listen.

Blinking at a stone face

Not knowing he was the prophet

Waiting to be called

Our savior.

We didn’t listen.

He talked to us in one ear

And it soared out the other

So now we pay.

We pay with currency that doesn’t exist

Pockets that weren’t sewed in

Coins that just spin.

He said it once,

And we turned our shoulder.

Walked away

Never looked back.

Graduation Goggles

It’s the Freshman fifteen.

Drowning in procrastination

below misguided goals

and Tetris relationships.

Just the Sophmore slump

now gasping for air

goals steep

hidden behind the Yellow Brick Road.

Junior of a junior.

Senior year

wishing they could do it all again

missing the first fifteen.

Blue Dreams

Fragrant struck Sapphires

flush in guiding light

into Red mornings.

Carry the dream she told me.

Sapphire eyes begging for a chance

to plead for her dream

as a weeping baby.

We are the dream she told me.

Sapphire eyes carry into the light

holding sheets of future

looking for the next encore.
