no games

just tell me you’re ready;

i think this was the plan

since we met

but we didn’t listen-

so after you see this;

know my mind has been stuck

my soul wanders a string

of second & third hands

waiting for yours;

no games

just tell me

it’s time to recover

you can remain pressed

that never pressed me

they all see you runnin’

it’s over.

i knew it

the moment i saw you

i couldn’t look away

scornful eyes peered down

i didn’t care.

the way you bounced

in the summer night

i caved in your eyes

i’m glad they never returned

i wouldn’t have let you go

she was a needle beetle

crawling on all fours

ice in her veins

of what remains.

red puff explodes from her eyes

circled her like a vulture

claim to be of culture

nothing but guilty spies.

Quote~

And as imagination bodies forth
The forms of things unknown, the poet’s pen
Turns them to shapes and gives to airy nothing
A local habitation and a name.

–
William Shakespeare
(A Midsummer Night’s Dream)
