one spell – two bell

the way we tell it, i found you-

really, you found me;

a wanderer,

and you;

never let me stray,

your eyes found me

deep into my arms

shut off all my alarms

while smiling

file two smile and i’ve been yours

walking that extra mile-

you found me walking nowhere in circles

a dream and two cents

and now its three and a mission

a magician with a spell

and with your permission

i’ll make this the last one

ring the one bell

reruns on the plane;

i fell for you

actually

still falling no bottom in sight

i am falling for you

a marathon that gets better and better

a show that is renewed every year

it gets better and better no filler

i record every episode

i like to watch them on my free time

or when i’m not free

and you’ll take me captive

i’ll wake up in my own bed

and i’ll put on reruns

my favorite ode

i ask for this dance;

your hand in mine

the curve of my palm at curve of your waist

we won’t waste the song

either my own or one that is slow-

slow enough so our steps sync with our beat

it is

unique

our beat

drums come

the night

stay; in

our arms

we will

dance till

our hearts

recall

every

note  played;

the song

our song we will humb on the way home

humb in our bed

humb in our dreams

thirty and counting

i worry that i’ve wrote it before

said it before

and the words lose meaning

like white out to a dictionary

i mutter white noise

it’s not that this was my goal

or i over say these words

i don’t want you to question or forget

i don’t believe in ten seconds you’ll forget

it’s the eleventh i want to be remembered

and after the twelfth i’ll be there to hold you

thirty i’ll build you a fort that we can live in

a map will be in your email in the morning

cold star

i have seen

the angle of you from a smudged mirror

i’ve never seen you so beautiful

diversity as concealer

brushed in with attitude

not the way you want to be viewed

but the look suits you

been through hell and this revival suits you

you’re going to change the world and i see it in you

it was only smudged for a minute

your beauty will shine through

never been worried for a second

you always pull through

you always will

candid vow

it wasn’t a joke or saying

not a line to pick or a quote to be memorized

nothing annotated or on the back of my hands

it is all here-

with you standing across from me

i know what i’ll see for today tomorrow

and the next tomorrow until i am all out of them

the highlight of my day i’ll make the highlight of my life;

you can know this now

because i’ve known for quite some time

that time was a knock off until you were added;

all candid- just waiting for my life to be stirred

thee unforgettable flavor

binge watching

falling for you deeper

truth is i could never leave her

found peace in your arms

you took down all of my alarms;

i awake with you in mind

with you in my eyes

i want this everyday

i see tomorrow in your eyes

charmed by your vision

home improved on the television

i see tomorrow in your eyes

binge watching my favorite show

aqua green

i never wanted to believe there was someone like you

it was easier not to-

to focus on breathing but not living

it was easier to see roads that came to an end

easier to plan for the next few months

to shorten the lines

but here i am wondering which shirt i should wear to match your eyes-

it was easier not to worry

now i can’t imagine it any other way

three women – thank you

you watched me fall

you watched me climb, still watching

i know in her visions i am never stopping

a workhorse, mane and all

and i thank you for that:

dreaming on days when i can’t sleep

moving forward when my feet feel like concrete

living when i wasn’t sure how too

and i could never repay you-

i find myself wondering where you are,

if you’re still in the same city, playing the same guitar:

i left on a broken down car in the middle of a storm

lost in memories, in a jeep, with a ghost and you

no phone, no address, no one

a seven on my arm drawn in charcoal

the same one i drew on a casket not an hour earlier

and i haven’t seen you since

i hope you made it out of the storm too-

i love you- with only nine lines i couldn’t begin to explain

the light that i see in you, it is blinding

and i don’t need my mask, exposed to all of you;

it feels fucking great

your body in my hands warms my soul

my heart beats out of my chest when you’re near

and it’s been like that since you’re light touched me-

you’ll change the world, you’ve already changed mine

thank you

only class

i know you,

i have read all about you from the books you have lent me

from the tv show episodes i binge watch every night before bed

front of the line for the movie adaptation that we hope will be good

and if it is not- i will still love it

show up early to your classes

stay after for office hours-

not worried i would fail the class,

just want to know everything
