Poetry · Writing

after nineteen and before the world ends

July 16, 2020 SamT.GutierrezLeave a comment

we started as a gift

lying cheating killing

all before the night shift

wasn’t it so fulfilling

willing to go

millions to the bank

leave the millions on the street

to fend for a penny

so gather around for the show

they roll around in tax tanks

they never miss a beat

n that’s on twenty

Quote~

And as imagination bodies forth
The forms of things unknown, the poet’s pen
Turns them to shapes and gives to airy nothing
A local habitation and a name.

–
William Shakespeare
(A Midsummer Night’s Dream)
