Blue Eyes

Her stare is paralyzing. Soft blue eyes like the sky a child would draw. Lashes protecting them like a fence. No resntment. The judgement. The pupils fanning out warmth and love. The stare of a loved one, the eyes of a mother.

Moonlight shines on her diamond ring.Mascara smeared across her cheek. Stench of barf peeking through fresh lavender. Heels clicking on the stone steps. The shine vanishing and never to be shone again.

She stood tall above all the rest

Across the ocean to prove she is the best

Not in her accomplishments

To most others astonishments

He lays in the hayfields, stationary, baking in the sun rays. The lifting breeze carries hay away and him with it.

Step in the ring with the king

He has you like a puppet on a string

He will aim for your throat

Do not blink you’ll miss him float

Soon to be asleep from a Ali sting

Quote~

And as imagination bodies forth
The forms of things unknown, the poet’s pen
Turns them to shapes and gives to airy nothing
A local habitation and a name.
