I wanna be
I.
missed the shot
never took a second
look
just twice
and I won’t look away.
Writing, Ideas, & Stories
I wanna be
I.
missed the shot
never took a second
look
just twice
and I won’t look away.
my plead falls on deaf ears
lines of coffins for sale
murder row and I
will waste no tears on your follies
but give them freely.
the fortune reads south
it was on a matter of time
martyr’s run wild
everyone runs but never
stands still.
unless we do it together
pleasing both gods.
Wishing a dream to life
Walking in shoes I woke up next to
Running faster then before
Telling her I love her
Running into the middle of the street
to tell her again.
I’ve been sitting on a lawn chair
smoking a pipe
watching my clouds chase their big brothers around
playing tag.
They dissipate
and the big brother
moved on.
that didn’t belong to me.
Pages covered in streamers pinned to a smiling family picture. And now
me.
Conditioned cheese wears the binding down but
there they are. And now
me.
Unfit and recently discovered new home that wasn’t for you. And now
me.
the drums barrel down
shotgun
footsteps sliding around
an ice ring of empty shells
trace the mark they left behind
staring to long causes blindness
solar eclipse
walking around in stellar darkness
wine drunk
and we will stand
for those who’ve lost their feet.
Nor lost their way
along the snake way
buried in their ethics.
Not us.
We march
for those who’s hands have fallen
to their waist
and given up.
To those locked in cages
staring at the wings just in reach
It’s
It’s okay.
We March to forge greater steel
and we will build
a pound of an untamed beast
cold foreigner lounging in your lap
maybe three
and a night killing film.
