North Park

Makeshift armor can’t protect my heart

From stray bullets

Blink past

Scattered pictures

Drawn from peach rainbows and olive Elms.

Makeshift armor can’t protect my soul

Tears of decorated walls

And A for apple.

Take the easy way out

Don’t sin and live with transgressions.

You didn’t see him,

Hiding behind the quivering lover

The guardian lover

And you didn’t see him.

Take the easy way out

Leave the strong to pick up the remains.
