Sense

I’m not alone.

These eyes see worlds only

in photos. Photos

I watched captured
in the back of our mind.

Will hold hands, cry

together on shared shoulders

for our lost mother.
Will travel these eights roads

marching side by side

hands in our.

We are not alone.

Lukewarm

I don’t love for lukewarm.
I stare for the steam to be raising from the pot whistling my name.

If it doesn’t whistle it’s not for you.

The whistle is how I know it will burn. Don’t conform

Wait for the storm

and you’ll be reborn.

The slight breath of a timid one will settle

while we catch the perfect storm.

You Pretty Things

Don’t kid yourself they belong to you

They’re the start of a coming race…

~David Bowie

Make way for

the Homo Superior. Greet

the new slab every decade;

they are our king.
They walk the same

talk, sing, fuck like you,

yet, we’re on the ground

and they’re in space.
Putting moon shine

in a jar and holding it

high as the past.

Homo Sapiens outgrown their use.
Take our leave peacefully

onto the next

written in awe

we’ve finished our news.
R.I.P. ~

Shivering Heat

Shivering on a warm night

signal it’s time to escape.

Run where the cold still suprises you
lights dim to your will instead

of oppression.

Find me. Find me standing
under this light I power

with my will and I’ll share it

with you. Just be brave to leave
the shivering heat.

Trainer Orange Ep. 19

Franklin shook in place. Fingers tingled at the final ball. Crowd fell to the crowning lights and Franklin felt their animosity.

Julie showed her final ball, a yellow ball with black webbing, thrown high into the lights transformed into candy red. The Pokemon that emerged wore a grand crimson flower atop its slim berry body.

“That is a rare one, we have a Vileplume! Lucky for the gym leader’s daughter!” The crowd broke their silence and cheered for Julie.

Vileplume’s beady dark red eyes shook as it tried to maintain balance. Franklin peered at his remaining Pokeball and into the faceless crowd.

“You can do it Franklin” He turned and met his fathers eyes.

Franklin, loss of breath and grips the Pokeball tightly and launched it forward at Vileplume.

The Pokemon that emerged was a familiar sight, “Another rare one on the islands, it’s a Vulpix!”

Franklin’s wide eyes shook and his palms fell open, jaw quivered, “Last round trainers, let’s battle!”

Franklin curled his fist and replaced the shake in his eyes with fire, “Vulpix, fire spin!”

Vulpix spewed swirl fire flames towards an unprepared Vileplume and became immersed in super effective fire.

Julie looked side to side looking for a way to save her Pokemon.  Vileplume mimicked her trainers actions and stood idle.

“Vulpix, flame wheel!” Vileplume only saw the spin and wheel crashed into its torso propelling back into a firm stone. The spin concluded and Vulpix emerged from a flame cocoon in front of Vileplume.

“Vileplume is unable to battle, Vulpix, and Franklin win the match!” The crowd, to Franklin’s surprise, cheered.

Sallis

We followed your clay

as boys and girls on a crowded moon.

We came for the cheese and left

with your dream.

I can finally see through your eyes

weary and dreamy

looking for your love.

As you rest

know this, I’ll save this

Provolone through my final

days for my love,

my future Grommet.

RIP, Thank you for the wonderful tale.

Trainer Orange Ep. 18

Julie raised the Pokeball and a red stream shot out and grabbed the Sandshrew and it disappeared. Franklin raised his and the celebrating Squirtle vanished.

The trainers raised their next ball and threw it, “Woah, we have a Ratticate for Julie and a Krabby for Franklin!”

Franklin stared at his Pokemon deeply never-resting. Krabby had large pincers with thin eyes  and it walked side to side. Krabby eyed Raticate, white long belly and brown outer coat with large sharp teeth with whiskers thin and scraping the ground.

The pincers snapped together and Franklin saw his Vulpix where Raticate was standing. Vulpix gazed into his eyes and licked her paw.

“Raticate, quick attack!” Raticate charged head first into Krabby’s torso, launching Krabby into a jagged rock.

Franklin rubbed sweat from his forehead and looked for his Vulpix and only saw Krabby on shaky legs sinking into the earth.

“Again Raticate, quick attack!” Raticate appeared in a blur and rammed the Krabby towards the feet of Franklin with swirls in his eyes.

“Krabby is unable to continue the battle. Julie wins this round!”

Julie returned the Raticate and Franklin stared at the Krabby with an open mouth and a pale thin face.

Saint

He told me I earned this title

like the soldier on foreign land.
I never asked for your blessing;

your knighthood. I was fine
under my cloak walking through

crowded hall blending to the wall
like old gum. He saw though.

Something I didn’t realize I was seeking
and he put the compass in my hand,

guided me across these trenches.
He knew I needed a squad, and I,

it’s untested general. I didn’t
earn this name but I’ll wear the

badge on my chest as a blessed scar.

Blind Side

You are the mystery beyond the hill.

Drapped in shadows and silence you walked alone. I never

heard you coming up the stairs. You never returned my calls.

Footsteps never smelled so sweet to the waiting whiff of cloudy anticipation in open arms. You walked

alone so I wouldn’t know the path, so I wouldn’t follow your trail, so we would grow on different sides of this hill;

where I’ll be waiting.

The one we needed and we never

acknowledge it until it’s too late. Freedom

gives birth to bliss on a summer
afternoon cliff for the people to watch

in a small box with our feet on a coffee

table. You weren’t the first and
we will remember your crusade

by singing that fine jingle on last time:

Nananananananana nananananananana
